If you want to get an all-electric car, the latest concept vehicle from UK-based Bentley Motors would likely be at the top of your list. The EXP 12 Speed 6e convertible looks like it came out of a old-fashioned James Bond movie. The car made its debut today as part of the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show.

The exterior of the EXP 12 Speed 6 (yes, the name is a bit of a mouthful) looks very much like the sleek convertible you might expect from Bentley. However, it also serves as a way to help it move to its all-electric future. The twin bonnet scoops outside also serve as heat sinks for both the car’s batteries and its drive train, with no need to use any other cooling tech.

Inside, the car’s central tunnel is made from one solid piece of glass, which also houses its OLED dashboard display. Also, the car’s wing mirrors ditch reflective glass and instead use cameras that send their images over to the main dashboard.

Of course, the big deal about the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e is that it is all electric. The car company claims the convertible can go from London to Paris or Milan to Monaco on a single charge. That means it can go about 200 miles or so, give or take a few. The car is also supposed to support inductive charging technology, which means none of those pesky cables should be needed to keep its batteries charged.

So when can you get one, and how much will it cost? Well, technically, the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e is a concept car, so it’s not supposed to be released to the public. However, it sounds like the company will release something very much like this vehicle sometime in the near future, but we would also expect it to be very high priced as well.

Stay tuned as we are attending the Geneva International Motor Show and will have first-hand reports from the event as they unfold.
