There are already quite a few interesting electric motorcycles on the market including the Zero SR, Victory Empulse TT, and others. If you’re thinking of buying one, you’ll be happy to hear that a new electric motorcycle will soon be available. Called the Lacama, it is made by the Milan-based Italian Volt.

The Italian Volt Lacama is a high-end motorcycle that can be customized to your specific requirements. For example, you have the option of changing the look of certain components of the machine, customizing color schemes as well as adding and removing body panels.

It comes with a 15 kWh battery pack and has a range of around 200 km or 124 miles. It’s definitely not the lightest motorcycle in the world as it weighs 250 kg (551 lbs). Despite the weight, it’s still quite fast as it has a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph) and can go from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 4.6 seconds.

What’s great about the motorcycle is that it supports fast charging. On a standard supply, you can fully charge it in around three hours, but with the help of a fast-charging outlet, you can get the battery up to 80 percent in only 40 minutes.

Another interesting and useful feature of the Lacama is that you can check things like the charging status and location of the motorcycle with your smartphone. Thanks to the app that’s available for both Android and iOS devices, you also have the option of choosing between different riding profiles by customizing torque and engine brake settings, among others.

So, you’re probably wondering how much will this bike cost, right? Well, we don’t have an exact answer to that question, as the final price will obviously depend on the equipment and customizations you opt for, but is expected to be somewhere around €35,000 ($37,500). The company plans to start accepting orders by September.
