It’s likely that your next hybrid car won’t be quite as good looking, or as fast, as the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept. The new four-door car was revealed by the automobile company today as part of the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show.

This is actually the second car from Mercedes that will have its “EQ Power+” branding. It was used first for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Formula 1 car, and the “EQ Power+” label will be used for all performance hybrids that will be released by the company in the future.

In this case, the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept has an AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with 805 hp combined with an additional electric motor. The company says it can go from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds. In addition to its hybrid mode, the car can also be driven just with its gasoline engine or with just its electric motor.

Unfortunately, Mercedes didn’t disclose the range of its newest concept car, but the good news is that this vehicle might actually turn into a real production automobile that you can really buy in the future. We would also bet it is going to be extremely expensive, but that’s the trade off if you want a hybrid with high performance and speed.

Stay tuned as we are attending the Geneva International Motor Show and will have first-hand reports from the event as they unfold.
